Faith and Values in Dental Practice

We at Fraserview Dental Centre count it a privilege to work in South East Vancouver in a multi-cultural, multi-religious, multi-linguistic, multi-racial area of the city. Even though our staff speak 11 languages, sometimes it isn’t enough and we often have relatives in the room translating for us. We are honored to be able to treat such a diverse group of patients.

Dr. Kennedy and his wife Catherine were raised in Christian families, and are individually and together committed to being followers of Jesus Christ and His teachings. They attend a local Christian church and have been involved in leadership with Vancouver Christian School (which their four children attended), Regent College (a post graduate Christian Seminary at UBC), and various other Christian organizations. They have gone on Mission trips to Calcutta, India, and Haiti.

How does being Christian impact their practice of dentistry? By applying the values of honesty, caring, fairness, compassion, truthfulness in the provision of care to their patients.

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
“.. act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with your God.”

                                                                                        Micah 6:8

“We endeavor to treat all our patients and staff as we want to treated. This is the clearest summary of our practice philosophy. We of course want the best available care for ourselves, in the most caring and efficient manner... so that is what we try to offer to everyone else!”
